What is EFT?
This stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and is also commonly known as Tapping. It is a complementary therapy that combines energy, psychology, elements of Chinese medicine such as acupuncture, and cognitive therapy.
This involves tapping on acupressure or meridian points on the body whilst focusing on a particular issue or negative emotions, allowing you to release energy blockages and re-balance your energy system to promote emotional healing.
Whilst tapping on these points you repeat certain phrases related to the negative issue or emotion, then a positive phrase or affirmation follows this along with breathing exercises and often visualisation techniques. This can be a stand alone therapy or in conjunction with others.
